Job Description

The Director, Business Applications Support Services, leads all aspects of I.T. around systems and solutions for the revenue cycle, expense cycle, databases and administrative reporting, the Electronic Data Warehouse and the systems integration technologies. These efforts comprise actions relating to planning, evaluating and selecting new technologies, management of staff and resources to achieve goals as well as implementing and supporting these solutions post activation with or without vendor assistance. Thus, the Director is the senior leader for the solutions that support the non-clinical operations of the enterprise plus the integration of any clinical or business systems and a range of decision support tools including the Electronic Data Warehouse. In addition, the Director is also responsible for the implementation of various systems and technologies including workflow design, change management, design and oversight of education and training for end-users (i.e., physicians, clinical staff, management, employees). This position directs managers and a staff of professionals skilled in systems analysis and programming, databases and integration engines that support hospital registration and revenue and expense cycle systems supporting hospital operations, as well as ambulatory services, medical clinics, nursing practice, clinical practice, and departmental systems such as Lab, Pharmacy, Imaging, HR/Payroll, Accounting, etc., and informatics as well as information technology professionals within the Division. Department staff members staffs participate in all these activities as well as 7/24 operational support.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors' degree with Masters or other post graduate degree in Healthcare, IT, or operations/business/public administration field preferred.

10 years information technology implementation experience required including 5 years in a management role.

Strong management experience and demonstrated success stewarding IT projects from design through implementation required.

Strong health care experience in systems integration required and exposure highly desirable but senior technology leadership mandatory.

Demonstrated project management skills (technology and people) and the technical ability to oversee and implement multiple plans that meet diverse demands.

Experience with the successful implementation and support of IT projects.

Demonstrated ability to be self directed with excellent organizational, analytical, writing, interpersonal and project related skills.

Proven skills leading and developing technical staffs as well as excellent team work skills among peers.

Current CA driving license and proof of insurance
