Your Role

As part of the Design Technology team, the role of the Denver Office Design Technology Leader is focused on promoting, implementing, and elevating our BIM, Computational and Visualization workflows, and protocols to the Denver office. In partnership with the SW Regional Design Technology leadership, you will ensure the deployment of initiatives to elevate Denver's Design Technology fluency and capabilities.

This is a multifaceted position that focuses on the areas of technical project support, training, research, and development. You will maintain the lines of communication with office leaders, studio leaders and project teams.You will also establish goals and project plans in support of Global, Regional and office objectives, as well as monitoring and reporting on progress. You will establish, interpret, and communicate changes in guidelines, policies, procedures, and other related matters as well as acting as a mentor to project teams on the best practices of moving through the lifecycle of a project.

What You Will Do


  • Integrate and support Design Technology tools, workflows, and processes with project teams.


  • Lead / coordinate office BIM / Computational / Visualization training (new employees / continuing education).


  • Assess and assemble studio Design Technology Advocates groups and mentor them to become BIM/Revit leaders within their studio/design practice.


  • Maintain and develop BIM related content.


  • Research, develop and evangelize new Design Technology tools to maintain competitive edge.


  • Develop and strengthen relationships with office and studio leaders by improving communication, transparency, and involvement at project start up.


  • Document processes, procedures, and workflows.


  • Work with the Regional Design Technology Director to collect project metrics for the region and establish reporting of key performance indicators.

Your Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, computer science or equivalent with 5+ years of experience in AEC/O space.


  • Preferably, previous experience in a DT leadership level role.


  • Knowledge of and proven practical background in Autodesk Revit, BIM 360 and related Building Information Modelingsoftware and processes.


  • Experience working in Architecture or related industries, with detailed knowledge of project processes, milestones, and deliverables.


  • An articulate communicator able to conveyDesign Technology relatedconcepts to all levels of design and delivery professionals.


  • Familiarity with architectural design processes and workflows.


  • Entrepreneurial spirit that embraces change and constantly seeks out new opportunities to hack the system.


  • Reliable, responsive, and positive work ethic with the highest degree ofintegrity.


  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion and to set priorities and manage competing demands.


  • Demonstrated ability to develop learning material, deliver effective training and provide ongoing education and technological support to project teams.


  • Punctual, able to adhere to deadlines, and have a strong work ethic.


  • Experience withComputational Designtheory and applications such as Dynamo, Grasshopper, etc.


  • Experience withDesign Visualizationtechniques and applications such as 3D Studio Max, Enscape, Vray, TwinMotion, etc.


  • Familiarity withPerformance Designapplications and analysis tools such as Insight 360, Fenestra Pro, Climate Studio, Ladybug, etc.
