Job Summary


Our Maintenance Technicians are responsible for the maintenance of production units, utility, and infrastructure systems. Tasked with the continued servicing and repair required to support manufacturing and facility requirements. This position requires creative independent problem-solving and decision-making skills, the ability to resolve technical issues that create service interruptions, and develop or design of new techniques and methods that improve upon production.


Job Responsibilities


* Perform production equipment and tooling scheduled Preventative Maintenance's (PM).

* Input and maintain PM equipment logs.

* An attention to detail that constantly strives to minimize machine downtime.

* Communicate and provide information about machine repairs, projects and PM's.

* Maintain, calibrate, align, troubleshoot, and repair production manufacturing equipment.

* Follow-up with suppliers on lead-time issues.

* Schedule Service Technicians for equipment.

* Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

* Uphold procedures that are clear and concise and that can be followed by others.

* Perform Safety initiatives.

* Track critical parts inventory.

* Interface with vendors relative to equipment diagnosis.

* Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical literature to determine methods and sequences of operation.

* Collaborate with Engineers and other personnel to identify, define, and improve or eliminate issues.

* Assist with the installation and production readiness of manufacturing equipment coming on line.

* Ability to define and use a Computerized Maintenance Management System to effectively track maintenance in an organized manner.

* Understand and follow all relevant regulatory agency requirements.


Job Qualifications


* 1+ years experience in Maintenance

* U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site SSA requirements

* High School Diploma or G.E.D Required

* GKN experience preferred

* Strong attention to detail;

* Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing;

* Read, comprehend and write written instructions;

* Have knowledge of and be able to perform basic shop mathematics;

* Perform work to a defined plan and be capable of defining plans and organizing work area/tasks and people to meet that plan;

* Specific Vision abilities required; including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus with a specific requirement for corrected vision at 20/25 or better;

* Must be able to work in a production environment and travel throughout the facilities and corporation to obtain information needed to perform job functions;

* Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity;

* Employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs., using proper lifting techniques.
