Idaho National Laboratory's (INL) ATR group is seeking forward-thinking, professionals interested in exploring a technical career as an ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT.

Responsibilities Include:

Provide Administrative support to the ATR Programs Department Management and staff rotating to each division as scheduled or needed. Position reports directly to the ATR Complex ALD.

Position requires:


  • Positive friendly attitude, self-initiative, independence, good communication skills, and attention to detail.

  • Responsible for all aspects of office duties, includes but is not limited to: Distribution of Office Correspondence and mail, proofing and formatting documents and calendar scheduling. Responsible for scheduling of meetings, conference rooms.

  • Track department training records using the INL Train program.

  • Type a wide variety of information from rough draft and handwritten materials.

  • Create PowerPoint presentations, Excel, Visio, and Word spreadsheets, charts and graphs, input data and update as needed.

  • Demonstrate intermediate to advanced computer software capabilities. Responsible for the ordering of all office supplies, computers, printers, Multi-purpose copiers, and office equipment using the Asset Suite/iBuy system and Purchase Card.

  • Employee moves and telephone coordinator responsible for all move and telephone requests within the ATR Complex who may need assistance.

  • Coordinate and publish ATR Daily Focus. Obtain training/qualification as a Records Management Coordinator.

  • Responsible for the preparation and transfer of used office equipment, furniture and supplies to Excess Property.

Perform assignments under supervision depending on level of experience:


  • Admin level 1 - all duties are performed with close supervision involving detailed instructions and regular and with frequent review of work performance.

  • Admin level 2 - General supervision and instruction given for routine work, with detailed instructions given for new activities or special assignments assuming full responsibility for efficient office operations and organization for the department.

Minimum Requirements:

Level 1: HS and 0 years relevant experience.

Level 2: HS plus 1-2 years relevant experience.


  • Able to obtain and maintain a DOE "L" clearance......

Salary Grade: 120/130


  • Multi-Level: This is a multi-level posting and the selected candidate will be placed at the appropriate level dependent on depth and breadth of proven experience and skills
