Overview

LMI is seeking a senior cyber security specialist to support the development of infrastructure network installation projects. The position will be located at the client site in Ft. Belvoir, VA with the ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:

    Ensure that each engineering design incorporates IA criteria using applicable Army Regulations (ARs), DoD regulations, and DISA STIGs.
  • Ensure that each system is developed using a cyber-resilient and robust system design, and compliant baseline configuration for every type of device comprising the system.

  • Resolve and identify complex cyber security issues and problems.

  • Resolve and identify complex information assurance issues and problems

  • Prepare briefings on cyber security / IAs issues to be given to leadership / management.

  • Enforce appropriate security policies and procedures.

  • Identify security risks and recommend areas for improvements.

  • Provide input to and analysis of proposed systems changes. This will include security inpacts, requirements and implications.

  • Provide assistance in network security implementation, including preparation and oversight of the execution of policies and procedures to ensure the continuous security governments architectures

  • Provide assistance in the oversight to ensure implemented security safeguards are adequate to assure the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of the information being processed, transmitted, or stored are consistent with the level of sensitivity of that information

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


  • Bachelors degree computer science or related field

  • 8 + years work in cyber security / information assurance.

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating cyber security programs, security standards, procedures etc for the federal government

  • Demonstrated experience with the Army

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and presentation skills

  • Excellent customer relationship management skills

  • This position requires and active security clearance at the Secret level. You must be a US citizen.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:


  • Masters Degree preferred

  • CISSP, Security + or CISM certification

  • Demonstrated understanding of complex network environments

  • Understanding of Army acquisition process
