Overview

Huitt-Zollars' Dallas, TX office is looking for an Accounting Specialistto join our team. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, strong organizational and customer service skills, and a keen sense for detail. This position is a great opportunity for someone pursuing a career in Accounting. The successful candidate will have a professional demeanor, proficient Microsoft office suite skills and a year or more of previous experience in an architectural, engineering and/or construction management environment. Responsibilities:

Daily Cash Receipt Posting and Reporting
• Monthly Bank Statement Reconciliations


• Cash Disbursements


• Monthly Branch Checking Account and Petty Cash Reconciliations


• GL Account Reconciliations


• New Vendor Registrations


• Maintain Company Vehicles Information and Reporting


• Research and respond to internal and external client inquiries


• Assist in ad hoc projects as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of previous experience


• Ability to work independently or in a team environment


• Excellent time management skills; must prioritize tasks and meet very specific deadlines


• Strong people skills


• Solid understanding of accounting processes


• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook and Adobe


• Experience with Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint a plus


• Proven ability to complete detailed assignments accurately


• Exhibits professional written and oral communication skills


• A motivated self-starter, ambitious, dependable, and reliable


• Ability to identify problems and provide solutions
