Job Description


The Information Integration and Decision Support Group is seeking an Associate Staff member to interface with critical elements within U.S. Space Command (USSPACECOM) that are responsible for maintaining Space Domain Awareness (SDA) to protect and defend U.S. space assets. Responsibilities include documenting SDA needs and capability gaps, identifying key SDA requirements, supporting SDA data collection from the U.S. Space Surveillance Network, and working closely with Joint Task Force - Space Defense to identify, recommend, and incorporate new SDA techniques, processes, and procedures. The candidate should have experience working at the combatant command level in organizations such as U.S. Space Command or U.S. Strategic Command, and should be comfortable interacting at senior levels within the Department of Defense. Assignments will require the candidate to work independently and in a team environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role. We are seeking highly motivated, exceptionally bright and creative individuals who can think broadly, identify the essential elements of complex problems, recommend solutions in a dynamic environment, and who wish to contribute to the development of cutting edge capabilities in support of National Security.

Required:


  • Master's degree in Physics, Aerospace Engineering, Space Systems Engineering, or related field.

  • At least 10 years of experience with Department of Defense space system operations.

  • Experience working at the Combatant Command level.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government (DoD) security clearance.

  • Candidates with a current TS/SCI clearance are desired.
