As a CARBON UTILIZATION PLATFORM MANAGER, liaising with CCUS Platform Leader, you will be accountable to define the Platform Strategy for CO2 Utilization for Baker Hughes by setting strategic priorities, driving capital allocation process, leading origination of business development opportunities and coordinating the definition of new business models and defining NPD commercialization plans.


Key responsibilities:


  • Accountable for Carbon Utilization applications ("Applications") to deliver the Long Range Plan (LRP) for Baker Hughes by liaising with other Product Companies and headquarter teams.

  • Own deep understanding of Applications market dynamics and competitive positioning;

  • Identify strategic priorities by Application and accordingly develop strategic plan from growth investment opportunities to portfolio expansion/rationalization;

  • Set targets for cost, technology and operational features (e.g. lead time) by product / solution and by segment Application;

  • Define competitive CTQs and develop wing to wing differentiated value proposition for Products / Solutions with a TCO approach (e.g. new standard configuration);

  • Identify strategic initiatives and relevant growth / profitability impact in order to match business financial targets.

  • Working with Product Leadership, Engineering and Business Development you will support capital allocation process for new investments in technology, products and solutions and will contribute to programs prioritization during business strategic planning process.

  • You will be instrumental to establish and nurture relationships with relevant EPCs, Licensors, end users and key third parties and liaising with CCUS Demand Generation, other Platform Managers and Regional teams, will develop strategic initiatives/partnership to drive Applications top and bottom line and orchestrate holistic strategy for the Applications.

  • Liaising with Product leadership, other Growth teams, Commercial organization and other HQ functions, you will be responsible for the coordination of the definition of the commercialization plan of the new products and solutions (NPD) by developing dedicated NPD commercialization plan, from business cases development to commercialization roadmap including launch planning and Beta customers engagement.

  • You will be responsible to identify new / adjacent markets, develop relevant business cases to weigh possible organic and inorganic options, identify potential partners and/or targets, provide recommendations to Segment Leaders supporting BH/ELT leadership report-out and deployment until hand-off to functions;

  • You will be instrumental to position BH as industry player in the CO2 Utilization space, by participating to conferences, congress, industry events and to foster a company shared knowledge around CCUS value chain.



Work Experience

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent knowledge or experience; Chemical or Mechanical engineering degree strongly preferred;

  • Major experience in the Oil & Gas and Industrial markets preferably in similar jobs - Strategy, Product Leadership, Commercial; preferred experience in CCUS space;

  • Able to interact with Customers at all level in the organization and develop customer relationship;

  • Able to interpret customer economic, process and technical specifications and translate into competitive technical offering;

  • Strong analytical skills and proven capabilities to develop Business Cases - preferred MBA from accredited school and/or advanced leadership development program (e.g. CAS);

  • Must have excellent written and oral skills;

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, inclusive team working style and able to effectively interface with all levels of internal and external customers;

  • Must be a self-starter & able to work on his/her own initiative; agile mindset and entrepreneurial approach preferred.

  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed;

  • Fluent English essential, Italian or another language would be an advantage.
