JOB SUMMARY


  • The Regulatory Compliance Manager leads property compliance functions to reasonably ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company compliance programs. This includes, but is not limited to, compliance with Illinois gaming regulations, Title 31, the Company's Anti-Money Laundering program, Compliance and Ethics programs, and all other applicable gaming laws. The Regulatory Compliance Manager is the primary liaison with Illinois Gaming Board on behalf of property for day-to-day regulatory compliance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES


  • Responsible for the supervision, training, development and evaluation of the regulatory compliance staff to ensure understanding of the preparation of regulatory compliance functions, audits, and related documentation.
  • Responsible for reviewing, drafting and submitting Internal Control changes. Prepare additions and deletions to the approved Internal and Accounting Control Procedures. Ensure all manuals are current.
  • Ensures the proper filing and retention of Currency Transaction Reports, Suspicious Activity Reports, source documents, and audits are completed accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Ensures currency transaction and suspicious activity training is administered in accordance with Company's Anti-Money Laundering program and Title 31.
  • Responsible for record retention including all records required by Internal and Accounting Control Procedures.
  • Review requests for approval of promotions on a timely basis and within regulatory guidelines.
  • Investigate, analyze, and respond to questions on IGB rules and regulations, policies, procedures and service standards.
  • Monitor and advise on management's responses to findings of non-compliance by auditors and regulators and the appropriate remediation to cure findings of non-compliance.
  • Act as liaison with Corporate Internal Auditors and external auditors to ensure policies and procedures are followed.
  • Assures exceptional customer service to all patrons by communicating in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner.
  • Leader and facilitator of the Responsible Gaming (RG) Ambassador program.

QUALIFICATIONS


  • 21 years of age or older required.
  • College degree or equivalent work experience required. Progressive career development with at least five years experience at mid to upper level management preferred.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to handle more than one function at a time by being well-organized. Must be able to work independently.
  • Must present strong leadership skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and be detail-oriented.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. This includes the ability to communicate one-on-one and to groups in a manner that encourages others to support or align with policies, procedures, etc. Must possess the ability to work closely with all levels within the organization.
  • An overall commitment to excellence with an attitude of independence while exerting a team effort is required.
  • Must be open to adjust work hours, when needed, which may include occasional nights, weekends, and holidays.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS


  • Ability to maneuver through all areas of the property, including and office environment and the Casino floor.
  • Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate a PC computer and other office equipment.
  • Position requires 15% standing, 80% sitting, 5% walking.
  • Requires the ability to respond to speech, touch, smell, aural and visual cues.
