As a Human Resource Specialist , you will aprovide professional support in the areas of Benefit, Total Rewards and/or Onboarding.You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including day-to-day administration and management for the Human Resources team including but not limited to processing/updating data including record keeping into the human resources management system database and other file keeping systems, administration of associate health and welfare plans and actions as a liaison between associates and insurance providers, and verification that all forms and actions taken or requested are consistent with the Bank's policies, procedures and in compliance with federal, state and local requirements.Additionally, Human Resource Specialists are expected to assist the Human Resources leaders in workforce planning activities, such as reporting, metrics and dashboards. You will be expected to resolves benefits related problems, coordinate pre-employment reference and criminal background checks, assist with events such as associate recognition/appreciation, holiday events, recruiting events, assist with other Human Resources needs such as onboarding, orientation, offboarding, recognition, community activism, and generalist processes. Also, there is an expectation to build a great rapport with clients and fellow associates, and treat others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position.


All associates are expected to maintain current knowledge and consistent compliance with regulations and bank policies and procedures related to the position, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements.





Minimum Requirements:To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications.




  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.


  • 6 Months of relevant experience.


  • Knowledge of key HR functions such as benefits, compensation, recruiting and/or employment.






Desired Qualifications:To be considered an ideal candidate, you should possess some of the following qualifications:




  • PHR/SPHR certification.

  • 2+ years of relevant job experience in human resources.

Work Environment:




  • Office setting with traditional hours.


  • Must be able to work at a rapid pace for long periods of time (typically no longer than 8 hours).


  • Must be able to push, pull, pull up, bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, turn head-neck-shoulders as needed, grasp and hold tools and other items with hands, for either extended periods of time or many times throughout the workday.
