US Ecology Lab Pack Chemists engage in ongoing risk evaluation and document job safety assessments. Chemists work directly with US Ecology Clients to provide a complete and thorough lab pack service; risk assessment, waste segregation, packaging, labeling, generating shipping documents, and truck loading. It is to their advantage to be able to transport the waste to a local US Ecology facility.
Day in a Life
Propagate a safety-first culture in all you do.
Load lab pack supplies onto the US Ecology truck, and dispatch to the lab pack service address
Interact with Clients in a manner that supports US Ecology Core values
Segregate and package waste chemistry in accordance with OSHA, DOT, and RCRA regulations
Generate compliant shipping documentation, and container labeling
Load and deliver the waste to the local US Ecology facility
What you need to apply:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry (preferred but not required), Environmental Science or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
Knowledge of chemistry principles and practices
Ability to obtain a CDL C or B with hazmat & airbrakes
