What will I be doing?
You will occupy a position central to the success of IRI's premier Market Shopper Intelligence practice. This is a client-facing position. Through enabling deep Consumer and Shopper Insights, you will be part of a team optimizing the relationship with one of top Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) manufacturers as related to Consumer and Shopper Marketing.
The Analyst will have responsibility for managing a unique client in-home consumption data source powered through IRI's revolutionary web-based report generating tools and advanced panel queries/analyses. Approximately 75% of your time will be spent working in a hands-on capacity with IRI's technology tools and rich data sets derived from multiple sources.
Key client business issues include improving targeting and messaging to increase sales, drive increased consumption at the household level and penetration of products, identify new product opportunities, support sell-in to partners and optimizing their portfolio. The Analyst will identify patterns of household behavior and turn insights into implications the client can act upon.
The current economic environment requires that the Analyst bring fresh "outside-the-box" thinking, creative innovation, and a desire and willingness to continuously learn in order to identify and address current and future consumer trends. You will have an awareness of macro trends and be able to provide a perspective on how they impact the in-home consumption of client categories and other client business issues.
Externally, the Analyst will work at all levels across multiple client functions including Category Management, Consumer Insights, Sales and Brand Management. Internally, they will work with their IRI client team, Product Management, Technology, the Consumer Centric Retailing team and the broader Marketing and Shopper Intelligence team.
