A&M's established European Financial Restructuring Advisory practice enables companies, investors, lenders and secured creditor groups in complex restructuring processes to evaluate the risks and opportunities of a company's business plan and restructuring alternatives in order to maximize recovery.

Our Financial Restructuring Advisory team is now an established and high performing team within A&M Paris. We are looking to expand this team further by adding an experienced and highly regarded Director from a competitor firm to the team. The successful candidate will work with our Managing Director, France and the Restructuring Team on multi-stakeholder, multi-national restructuring advisory engagements delivering a blend of review and stakeholder advisory work to clients.

Main responsibilities:


  • Advise company stakeholders facing financial difficulties; assess Group-level financial performance in addition to high-level studies of the financial viability of subsidiary companies

  • Tasks can include; Initial diagnostic assessment of key issues and business outlook, appraisal of options and contingency planning, cash flow assessments and Independent Business Reviews

  • Prepare corporate strategic plans in addition to implementation support for international groups and subsidiaries

  • Contribute to performance monitoring following business plan implementation

  • Manage team members ensuring effective delegation and high standards of client deliverables

  • Contribute to business development activities including the creation of client pitches and proposals to win new mandates

  • Build strong, trusted, long term relationships with key stakeholders in the French and European lending community through the delivery of value added client engagements

The successful candidate will have experience of;


  • Extensive experience within a Financial Restructuring team at a leading advisory firm

  • The ability to demonstrate experience delivering complex restructuring projects including independent business reviews, short term cash flow assessments, capital structure analysis and lender restructuring options analysis

  • Broad ranging experience in leading complex restructuring engagements

  • Demonstrated expertise and aptitude with conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses, particularly with constructing integrated financial models, analysing financial under-performance and related services

  • Fluent business level English and French is essential. Additional European language skills including Dutch, German, Italian or Spanish are highly desirable
