Overhead Door of Atlanta, a DH Pace Company, Inc., aspires to hire a customer focused and motivated Residential Service Manager. This individual will manage the service department responsible for the complete P&L of the department.
Job Responsibilities:
Effectively manage employee performance, control labor and material costs and ensure service levels meet customer expectations
Manage operations through Dispatch Managers to include scheduling of all jobs.
Communicate directly with customers to schedule jobs, resolve all scheduling conflicts, and provide a premium level of customer service
Manage and improve operational processes and procedures
Work with Senior and Operational Management to establish sales and operating budgets
Assist with employee/job scheduling and provide assistance with technical/mechanical troubleshooting/problem solving
Monitor Service Technicians schedules to ensure timely completion of jobs and accurate customer invoicing
Dispatch or Manage Dispatch Managers as they have Service Technicians respond to customers needs, repair or installation needs and track jobs for completion to customers’ satisfaction.
Perform employee performance reviews, document performance issues, provide necessary employee counseling with targeted improvement action plans
Hire, train and develop new employees
Other duties may be assigned
Job Requirements:
Three (3) to five (5) years managerial experience and college degree preferred.
Must have excellent communication and organizational skills and a good mechanical aptitude
Transportation, Construction, Retail or Service (such as HVAC, Plumbing or Electrical) industry experience a plus
Ability to effectively communicate with the customer and represent the company in a professional manner
Proven ability to implement process improvements
Must have a high sense of urgency and a willingness to make decisions
Proficient user of software and systems
Must have a valid driver’s license
