Overview

REI Systems is seeking a TBMData Analyst to join our growing TBM practice. In this position, you will work directly with our federal clients as a trusted advisor to maximize the business value of their IT and make more strategic, insightful, and data-driven decisions. Your efforts will directly impact our federal clients' missions, which improve millions of lives across the globe.

Responsibilities

    Interact with clients and extended stakeholders to receive & communicate business requirements
  • Utilize data to develop graphs and charts for client presentations

  • Support status reporting and other internal or client needs

  • Gather, validate, and document business and functional requirements for cost model and reporting needs

  • Develop operational and financial cost models, dashboards, and management reports using program-specific systems

  • Import, transform and rationalize data from systems of record such as General Ledger, procurement systems, and other related systems to build and modify cost model

  • Operationalize data refresh by loading, validating, and reviewing on a timely basis

  • Analyze potential data sources for relevance and develop solutions for improvement

  • Continuously evaluate the cost model and reporting to ensure support of client priorities, analyze data for key findings, and help develop action plans to achieve the desired results; may involve use of specialized software or tools to identify patterns or anomalies and provide data visualizations

  • Perform changes required for data loads, cost modeling, or reports as needed, and manage incidents, changes and releases for the cost modeling solution

  • Participate in ongoing research and evaluation of new technologies to facilitate continuous process improvement

  • Support ad-hoc client requests through the development of reports, processes, and analyses

Qualifications


  • 1-3 years of related experience in Data Analytics

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related discipline, or equivalent work experience

  • Expert level in MS Excel (including macros), Proficient in MS Access and PowerPoint

  • Experience using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)

  • Basic understanding of writing code, or executing basic SQL queries

  • Thorough understanding of the independent data sources between IT source systems, assets, and financial systems to reconcile financial models

  • Ability to capture and analyze data, recognize key themes, communicate results, diagnose root causes, and provide recommendations

  • Willingness to learn and enthusiasm for identifying and solving interesting, impactful problems

  • Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to build trust and develop strong partnerships, both internally and with a focus on enhancing customer outcomes

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail, quality, and professionalism

  • Ability to work well in team environments of varying composition, personalities, roles and responsibilities

  • Ability to interact and present to professionals and executives in both industry and government of varying levels up through the "C-Suite"

  • Exceptional oral, presentation, and written communication skills

  • Outstanding organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize across multiple workstreams

  • ITIL or ITSM knowledge preferred

  • Certified Technology Business Management Executive (CTBME) preferred

  • Knowledge of Federal Government financial management preferred
