Job Summary: We are in the search foraUI-UX design interntohelp uschampion the voice of the user,considerbusiness objectives, andbecurious to understand the nuances of the transit domain.You love the challenge ofsimplifyingcomplexity, making data meaningful, andfinding opportunities to makeworkflows streamlined.You willworkwithsenior designers andengineerstoidentify and accommodate for technical constraintsin an agile environment.

About the primary project

The projects for this summer are UMO MaaS design activities for Web Portal and Rider user experience, theUmoRewards Portal - a web application for advertisers and marketing agencies to create and manage advertising campaigns, and user research, persona building, and software virtual prototype design.

Experience Opportunities

• Assist with original or supplementary research and discovery to better understand our user's context and pain points to inform design




• Synthesize research findings




• Sitemap, wireframe, and prototype designs




• Supporting business development needs with custom product mock-ups




• Utilize and contribute to existing design library (Figma components)




• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and adapt to business goals and technical constraints




• Design with consideration for accessibility standards (WCAG)

Minimum Job Requirements:

Web-accessible portfolio required for consideration. Enrollment in a four-year college degree program, or equivalent, in related field. Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and written. Excellent organization skills, follow-through, analytical skills, and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to follow written and verbal direction, and effectively interface with employees, management, and customers. Ability to perform tasks under work deadlines. Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, and well organized. Ability to provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers. Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
