The Recruiter for Alight Benefits Guidance is responsible for recruiting, interviewing, maintaining and developing an ongoing available pool of the highest quality Benefit Counselors in the industry. This position maintains our proprietary database with relevant notes on each Benefit Counselor. They identify the development needs of each counselor and facilitate ongoing training and certification programs to the active counselor team.
Key Job Duties & Responsibilities
Establish recruiting requirements by meeting with sales teams and the counselor/enrollment operations manager to determine project needs (inclusive of location and licensing needs)
Facilitate and lead sourcing for contracting counselor for annual enrollment projects
Interview, assess and contract seasonal benefit counselors for annual enrollment projects averaging up to 350 counselors each 4th quarter annual enrollment season - up to 500 annually
Ensures positive candidate experience throughout the recruiting process, making recommendations to policies and best-practices surrounding contracts and company attractiveness
Monitor and provide status updates to leadership on contract status and recruitment efforts
Build counselor workforce pipeline through creative sourcing, networking, and referrals
Responsible for meeting individual activity goals and recruiting productivity targets as defined by manager
Actively participates team meetings; actively sharing ideas for process and procedure
Assists the training and development manager as needed
Assists the counselor/enrollment operations manager as needed
Ensures compliance with federal, state and local laws and company policies in recruitment and hiring
Ensures all recruiting activity is tracked and measurable, analyzing needs, efforts and outcomes
Develops and maintains strong counselor relationships to ensure quality counselor retention.
Partnering with Sales to manage forecast/pipeline
Knowledge and skills required
Excels in interpersonal skills inclusive of in-person, phone and virtual communication
Self-motivated, with strong attention to detail and keen people skills
Strong time-management, focus and discipline to deliver project hiring results
Highly proficient with Microsoft Office tools for communication and reporting
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with proven ability to execute tasks in a high-pressure environment utilizing tact and diplomacy
Exceptional customer service orientation. Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment, with tight turnarounds, to be flexible in shifting priorities on demand and last minute changes
Confidence and freedom to act decisively in support of business needs
Ability to travel up to 10% in support of recruitment efforts
Education and experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
2-3 years recruiting experience required, preference for temp/contract recruiting experience
