We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Refund Posting Representative II. This role does a lot of investigative work and one has to know a little bit about everything to be effective. So if you like digging in the weeds: reviewing medical records for correct billing, reviewing EOBs for proper payment posting, and verifying patient accounts are correct; then this is the role for you!

Currently this position will be remote; however, once it is safe to do so you will be required to work in the Overland Park, KS Office.

Responsibilities

Review and determine cause of credit balances by analyzing EOBs, patient payments, etc.
• Review payer contracts to determine if claims were paid accurately.


• Create PDF refund packets, overpayment letters and outgoing correspondence.


• Audit refund requests and overpayment letters for accuracy.


• Review payer refund requests, determine if appropriate and dispute or appeal as needed.


• Identify and communicate payment posting errors or adjustments for correction.


• Complete work assigned by spreadsheet, email, or vocal communication.


• Listen to voicemails and return calls.


• Respond to emails according to their priority.


• Work with other departments to solve problems and implement solutions.


• Responsible for adhering to Information Security Policies and ensuring Envision is as secure as possible.


• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Able to read and understand Insurance Explanation of Benefits.

• High achiever with ability to learn quickly and consistently meet department goals and deadlines.


• Flexible and able to pivot quickly


• Must maintain composure and professionalism under circumstances that may become stressful.


• Knowledge of Medical Insurance terminology.


• Knowledgeable of HIPAA requirements.

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).


• 1+ years in Medical Billing, post-billing experience preferred.

Computer Skills

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook and Excel).


• Working knowledge of Adobe PDF.


• Working knowledge of the following billing systems is helpful: Connect; Plus; and/or GE Centricity.
