Advanced Practice Provider- MGH Cancer Center at Cooley Dickinson Hospital-Northampton, MA

Cooley Dickinson Health Care, an affiliate ofMassachusetts General Hospital, is currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistantto join the Mass General Cancer Center at Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton, MA.

The incumbent will be expected to function as an independent practitioner and provide comprehensive health care, assessment, education and counseling for the Cancer Center. This position has a desirable weekday, Monday through Friday schedule. The provider will average 10 -12 patients per day and be responsible for caring for urgent add-ons, working with the triage nurse, and overseeing infusions.

Requirements:

• Must have graduated from an accredited institution as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.


• At least six months of experience as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant preferred.


• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.


• Current Massachusetts licensure required.


• Previous experience in a medical oncology setting strongly preferred.

Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Must have graduated from an accredited institution as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Current Massachusetts licensure required. Current certification in CPR preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: At least six months of experience as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant preferred - physician office experience preferred. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
