This position can be located in either White Plains, New York, or Broomfield, Colorado.

The base compensation range for this position is $71K-99K based on experience. TheZero WasteSr. Managerleads and develops cross-functional strategic initiatives to reducefinished goods waste (donations, destructions, damages, markdowns/distress sales) across thedifferent business units,to deliver cost savings and improve environmental sustainability.This rolewill create, improve, and maintain the tools used by the Zero Waste team for communicating results, key performance metrics, and priorities. Key to success is fostering a zero-wastemindset in the entire organizationandleadingcross functionalprojects to deliverthe ambition of Danoneto reduce waste by50% by 2030.This is a highly interactive role that will require daily contact with different functions including Demand, Supply, and Materials Planning, Manufacturing, Finance, Customer,andMarketing/Sales.


  • Generate strategiesto reduce, mitigate and eliminatetotal wasteacross our end-to-end value chain (Design to Delivery organization).

  • Manage an annual Budget in the range of$50MM dollars for Danone NA.

  • Propose & prioritize actions based on the value and the potential to reduce waste.

  • Lead the Zero Waste team to deliver the Zero Waste Action plans by workstreams.

  • Monthly monitoring & communication of progress on financial & volume performance and action plan execution.

  • Lead and facilitate regularly scheduled meetings with cross functional teams to proactively reduce finished goods waste.

  • Understand and be engaged with daily operations and planning processes to ensure that established guidelines are maintained and monitor exceptions for risk potential.

  • Train all relevant stakeholders on Zero Waste approach.

  • Foster a Zero Waste mindset by animating the impact of Waste onBU's Operational Margin and Sustainabilityimpact.

  • Maintain strong customer & partner relationships through routine business reviews.

About you

  • You have a Bachelor of Science; emphasis in Supply Chain Management/Operations preferred
  • You possess 5+ yearsofexperience inthe entire Supply Chain preferablyin aCPG Industry.

  • You possess 3+yearsof experiencemanagingSupply Planning processes and project management.

  • You have proven experience delivering high performance results and cost savings projects.


  • You must have strong analytical skills

  • You have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

  • You have successful problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • You have the capacity to lead through influence

  • You have the ability to build strong relationships with cross functional peers and team leaders

  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills

  • You have the ability to work and communicate across value chain with diverse team members

  • You are a change agent: open to challenge and change (if needed) existing practices

  • You have deep knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain networks, demand and supply planning fundamentals is required

  • You have extensive experience and familiarity of SAP functionalities, and operational knowledge of SAP including common transactions

  • You have excellent project and time management skills

  • You have the ability to independently formulate plan(s) to deliver job commitments

  • You have the ability to raise relevant alerts and solve others
