Position Objective:

Inspect and package filters by hand in conformance to specifications while operating within safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Operate equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all policies, procedures, and JSAs

  • Approves in process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement test using First Piece inspection form, rejecting unacceptable material and communicating required adjustments to machine operator.

  • Repair, clean and seal filters using a hot glue gun in accordance with specifications.

  • Verify and apply correct label onto cartons, seal boxes and cube finished product for pick up.

  • Scan final product into production through the use of a RF scanner.

  • Adjust guide assemblies, forming bars, and folding mechanisms according to specifications using hand tools.

  • Observe operation of machine to detect correct machine malfunctions such as improper forming, glue flow and tension.

  • Measure space, cutters, and perforators during change -overs according to specs

  • Place roll of media on feed tracks and thread through rollers

  • Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; recording job times, supplies, and scrap used in the department.

  • Perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance on machine including cleaning, adjusting, and oiling; calling for repairs as necessary.

  • Communicate product schedule with others

  • Takes part in continuous improvement initiatives that directly impact work and quality of product

Technical Requirements


  1. Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.

  2. Basic knowledge of computers.

Knowledge/Experience:


  1. 6 months of recent (within 1 year) assembly/quality work in a manufacturing setting.

  2. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent. (Must be able to read, write, and speak in English.

  3. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.

  4. Knowledge and minimum 6 months Experience using a Tape Measure
