The Process Development Specialist has the responsibility for assisting the R & D Department to carryout various trials in a processing facility. A successful candidate will be required to have demonstrated experience in assisting with trials for the development of ingredient products that include both dairy and non-dairy, along with basic knowledge of Food Processing or Food Science.
Our Process Development Specialist Will:
Facilitate pilot scale trials on membranes and other dairy process equipment independently.
Assist with testing in processing facilities for pilot trials.
Gather and record trail data and create final report.
Assist with benchtop development for prototypes at the direction of the Innovation Manager.
Perform special projects and other responsibilities as needed.

Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Food Processing, or Food Science with expertise in dairy science, nutrition, quality, microbiology or related field
1- 3 years of industry experience in product processing development
Hands-on experience working with lab or pilot scale membrane system
Experience working with Universities or 3rd party pilot plants for trials preferred
Experience working in a Manufacturing setting and assisting with plant trials
Basic knowledge of Dairy Chemistry/Science
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and data organization and reporting
Must be self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team and have a strong “can do” attitude
A team player who wants to contribute to a thriving culture.
Strong knowledge of computer software applications.
