SUMMARY: The Quality Inspector III performs inspection of aviation accessories in accordance with the current technical data provided in the Component Maintenance Manuals, Services Bulletins, Service Information Letters, Airworthiness Directives, Regulations and Quality procedures acceptable to or approved by the FAA. Quality Inspection is performed to ensure product integrity is maintained to all requirements and to ensure that customer requirements are have been fully complied with prior to completion of inspection function

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• All Requirements of Quality Inspector IIand:


• Provides training and remains responsible for the workperformed


• Ensures safety requirements are being incorporated by eachperson


• Completes first run articles with support fromengineering


• Ensure Shelf life is monitored and expired chemicals are properly segregated throughoutdepartment


• Other duties asassigned.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

• All Requirements of Quality Inspector IIand:


• Can demonstrate understanding of unitfunctionality


• Ability to determine product configuration at the piece part level based off technical documents, product Design, training and Past knowledge as required for configuration Management


• Ability to exercise decisiveness on productacceptance


• 2-4 years in inspection role at Kansas Aviation or 4+ years in other inspection or aviationrole


• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must pass vision requirements for Near Vision and Distance Vision.


• Must understand, read and writeEnglish


• Prefer CertifiedRepairman


• Can perform prefinal inspection, typing of release documents and final release of products if performing final inspection


• Diploma or GEDpreferred
