Job Description


MISSION:


The HR Generalist supports human resources initiatives, processes and programs for corporate HR and acts as a business partner to a select group of corporate functions. The HR Generalist is responsible for providing support and guidance on matters relating to employee relations, performance management, human resources policies and procedures, compensation and benefits, workers compensation and state/federal employment law.



KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Attract, recruit, retain and develop talent


    • Partner with hiring managers and talent acquisition partners to recruit top talent

    • Work with managers and employees to create development plans

    • Identify high potential internal candidates through the talent review process

    • Support company diversity and inclusion objectives, activities and initiatives





  • Drive a high performance culture and a high level of employee engagement


    • Partner with managers to identify opportunities and develop plans to increase and support employee engagement

    • Participate and support employee-led teams such as, health and wellness, community involvement, reward & recognition and safety

    • Partner with managers and employees to support the performance management process





  • Provide HR guidance and support to managers and employees


    • Provide HR policy and process guidance and support to employees

    • Provide guidance to managers regarding employee relations matters and HR policies/procedures

    • Effectively balance role of employee advocate with the best interests of the business





  • Lead the timely and quality execution of selected HR processes and programs


    • Manage global recognition programs

    • Manage selected 3rd party vendor relationships





  • Data Analytics and Reporting (primarily for Corporate/Global functions)

    • Prepare monthly reports, including headcount

    • Prepare reports on key HR metrics and budgets






  • Other Responsibilities

    • Other duties as assigned to support HR initiatives





POSITION REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field preferred

  • PHR certification preferred

  • Minimum 4 years of Human Resources experience; previous experience in a manufacturing environment a plus



  • Previous experience in HRIS ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc)

  • Previous experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, ATS, (SuccessFactors, SilkRoad, etc.) preferred



  • Ability to travel on occasion within North America
