Job Description:
Chandler Hall, a Quaker facility and Kendal affiliate, provides high-quality care for older adults in Newtown, Bucks County. Chandler Hall offers a wide spectrum of services for individuals at all stages of the aging process including: Community Living, Personal Care, Residential Hospice, Home Hospice, Independent Living, Respite Care, and Skilled Nursing Care. We are always seeking individuals with a passion for working with the older population.
We currently have an opportunity for a Care Support Services Assistant to provide varied support in Friends Nursing Home to assist with resident laundry, housekeeping, meal service, and assistance with other non-clinical care support activities as needed.
Job Responsibilities:

1. Completes laundry duties: Washing, drying, folding, sorting, collecting, and distributing resident’s laundry. |

2. General housekeeping, cleaning of resident rooms as scheduled and common areas. Makes sure all areas are always tidy and presentable. |
|
3. Assists at mealtimes by transporting residents to and from the dining rooms, feeding residents, and providing other duties as needed. |
|
4. Answers call bells and assists with nonclinical requests (e.g. drink of water, supplying a blanket etc.)
5. Assists with activities when needed.
6. Organizes and puts away supplies as needed.
7. Provides excellent customer service. |
|
8. Uses supplies and equipment safely and effectively according to instructions.
9. Collaborates with other team members to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment.
10. Demonstrates sound infection control practices and proper glove use for housekeeping and laundry. |
