AT&T’s (NYSE:T) Global Marketing Organization is seeking a forward-thinking marketing / data science & analytics functional expert to drive customer empathy & understanding via advanced analytics. This person will work closely with internal and external data, analytics, and business partners to build an advantaged understanding of audiences, customers, competition, and brand while improving the quality and impact of the GMO analytics learning agenda.
Cultivate collaborative relationships with internal and external data and analytics partners; elevating the scope, quality, useability, and accessibility of data sourced from partners while enabling key data flows, integration, and automation initiatives
Engineer and maintain owned primary and secondary data, while evolving the quality, useability, and accessibility
Evolve marketing analytics methods and tools to better drive GMO impact
Train, mentor, and develop analytics talent
Uncover Brand, Audience, Marketing Insights
Conduct meaningful analytics to inform our understanding of our audiences, customers, brands, and marketing strategies and their impact on relevant outcomes
Deploy & Democratize Understanding of Brand, Audience, and Marketing
Transform complex analyses into clear, easy-to-understand “storytelling” presentations
Design and deploy high impact visualizations that transform data into insights
Socialize, evangelize, and train marketers on new tools and techniques
Influence decision making that drives the brand while being rooted in consumer / customer empathy
EXPERIENCE, CREDENTIALS, AND BEHAVIORS:
The successful candidates typically possess:
10+ years’ experience applying techniques in marketing / data science in the identification of impactful insights, with the ability to articulate a range of high impact cases.
3+ years’ experience coding/ programming with computational and statistical applications in R, Python, or equivalent
Relevant Post graduate degree (MS, MBA, PhD) preferred: ie Marketing sciences, data science, applied statistics, etc
Certification in data science: Google, IBM, DASCA, etc
Fluency with Office Suite: Excel. Powerpoint, etc
Expertise in:
Applied statistics (regression, optimization, segmentation, clustering, factor analysis, SEM, decision trees, random forests, etc) used to make inferences or predictions
Data exploration (dimensional reduction, PCA, Factor analysis) to explore hypothesis, craft visualizations, build models, or design algorithms
Data Management (architecture, engineering, pipeline), wrangling (flow, extraction, transformation, load)
Building / Rebuilding market models and simulations (customer relationship, social networks, 1:1 targeting, Bayesian models)
Insights visualization via relevant tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc)
Experimental design for analytics (sampling, sourcing, etc)
Preferred experience:
Designing & deploying machine and deep learning algorithms
Leveraging multi-source data across marketing, customer, media, digital, and retail
Using big data processing frameworks / tools (Hadoop, Apache, etc)
