Overview
Headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana, International-Matex Tank Terminals (IMTT) is an industry leader in the handling and storage of bulk liquid products through its ownership and operation of 19 terminals throughout North America. The terminals handle petroleum, biofuels, commodity/specialty chemicals, and vegetable/tropical oil products for customers including refiners, commodities traders and chemical manufacturers and distributers.
IMTT is looking for aMiscellaneous Liquids Special Operations Supervisor to join our team in Bayonne, NJ.
Responsibilities
Purpose of the job:
The Operations Supervisor (OS) is responsible for management of all facets of a third party bulk liquid storage terminal (rail, truck, marine) under the guidance of Terminal Manager. The OS is charged with the responsibility of operating the terminal in a cost effective, efficient, and safe manner. The OS will ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory rules and guidelines. This position will help characterize and implement acceptable procedures as well as performance standards for terminal employees based on company polices and industry best practices. The OS will assist with the development of terminal employees providing coaching, team building and other growth building exercises.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
1. Protect the integrity and segregation of customer product during the receipt, storage, and disbursement processes by confirming proper procedures and guidelines are in place and adhered to by qualified terminal personnel.
2. Maintains an up-to-date knowledge and enforcement of regulatory and company operating policies and procedures.
3. Responsible for executing operations consistent with budgetary expectations.
4. Accurately measure employee performance, define training opportunities and goals.
5. Create employee development plans, identify and build critical skills and abilities.
6. Effect inventory management reconciliation process for daily, monthly and yearly monitoring periods. Investigate and rectify any excessive variations. Review approve and distribute inventory reports to customers as specified in their contracts.
7. Prepare, review and approve monthly reports for decimation to customers, regulatory officials or internal departments.
8. Ensure an acceptable day to day work schedule is in place that meets the workload demands of customer or seasonality of the product being handled.
9. Must understand and help enhance the safety of our facilities, employees, customers and the public.
10. Perform any other duties assigned by Terminal Manager
