PURPOSE OF POSITION (1-3 sentence high-level summary of the job content):
The IT Project Architect plays a vital role driving the overall end-to-end design of the SAP solution. As part of a highly collaborative team, the role will interact with many technical and business resources across the enterprise as well as ensure standardization and compliance to company guidelines. The ideal candidate is a committed, creative, self-motivated with a strong technology background.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The following duties are essential to the successful and satisfactory performance of this job. Other duties may be assigned.
Drive overall design of SAP solution within specified timeframe and business requirements.
Designs and develops IT architecture (integrated process, applications, data and technology) solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards.
Performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications.
Develops specifications for new products/services, applications and service offerings.
Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent experience
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
7+ years' experience in progressive information technology positions
5+ years in SAP Platform software configuration and/or administration role
SAP ABAP and overall SAP configuration knowledge
Understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies: TFS, Git, SCRUM etc.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Extensive knowledge of SAP Products: ECC, HR, CRM, BOBJ, SuccessFactors, Portal etc. preferred
Project Management certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP), CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+) or Six Sigma preferred
Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks and projects
Act in a collaborative, team-oriented environment focused on common goals to achieve mutually beneficial results
Be accountable and responsible for the accuracy and completeness of assigned work and results
Prioritize and manage work load and communicate issues clearly
Exhibit effective verbal and written communication skills
Continuous improvement mindset
