Garmin is looking for an Oracle ERP Solutions Architect in our Olathe, KS office. This position provides leadership in project execution and design of new or existing systems or applications across multiple functional, system, or module areas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Work with Garmin associates and IT Staff to provide application design guidance, documentation, training, and quality control
Work with Application Analysts, Developers, and customers to design, implement, configure, and support Oracle eBusiness and other ERP or business applications
Work with IT and business to analyze/configure/tailor/design ERP application customizations, extensions, and integrations to meet business needs
Mentor Application Analysts, Application Developers, or other associates related to ERP functionality, best-practice ERP design, and testing
Participate in design and change review processes.
Serves as a business wide leader in project execution and design of new or existing systems and/or applications
Conduct requirements gathering/design sessions for new functionality and customizations
Test custom applications and Oracle patches
Gathers and documents complex requirements for business needs and independently determines complex solution designs across multiple functional/systems/module areas
Translates, negotiates and communicates architectural and development concepts across development teams
Develops project documentation including statements of work, detailed project plans, architecture designs, detailed implementation plans, deployment plans, project test plans and operational training materials
Completes complex troubleshooting and is able to determine appropriate course of action to deliver actionable results
Demonstrates broad understanding of Garmin’s business model including Engineering, Operations, Finance, Sales & Marketing
Develops reliable solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
Exemplifies Garmin’s Mission Statement and Quality Policy and proactively works to improve Garmin’s image and culture
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in project definition activities including feature analysis and system tradeoffs
Perform other duties as necessary
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business or another relevant field AND a minimum of 9 years relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Outstanding academics with the demonstrated ability to apply learned knowledge
Must possess experience (as noted in first bullet) with ERP applications as a Business/Application Analyst or Programmer specifically architecting and designing ERP solutions and integration points in a complex business environment
Experience with PL/SQL(Programming Language/Structured Query Language)
Must have experience with Oracle EBS module suites which include Discrete Job Manufacturing, Procurement and Inventory Management
Experience with interfaces between Oracle EBS and other connected applications
Expereince with understanding the manufacturing processes and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
Experience with Oracle application tools (e.g. Workflow, etc.)
Demonstrated experience in successful implementation of technology solutions
Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in a large team or departmental setting
