The Technical Product Owner (Program Manager) is responsible for creating, prioritizing, and evaluating the work created by our development team in order to implement product features and functionality that meet customer and stakeholder requirements. They must use their high-level perspective to define goals and create a vision for development projects.

Product owners are responsible for communicating with stakeholders across the board, including customers, business managers, and most critically the development team to make sure the goals are clear, and the vision is aligned with business objectives.

This individual will need to establish excellent working relationships with Kroll colleagues and Clients and be able to collaborate cross-functionally to ensure business and system requirements align with overall Client and ITBN strategy. The complexity, risk, size and visibility of assignments will increase, commensurate with experience and acquired skills and the successful candidate must be able to work under minimal supervision.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Create and maintain product and feature roadmaps with an understanding of technical capabilities and interdependencies.
  • Create the list of back-log items and prioritize based on overall strategy and business objectives.
  • Inform development team on business value and impacts to products/projects.
  • Map out project dependencies to inform necessary sequence of development.
  • Define product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities.
  • Spend significant amount of time overseeing the development of the product.
  • Communicating with other product owners to ensure overall program timelines using shared resources.
  • Coordinate with Technology, Infrastructure and Networking to meet project technical requirements.
  • Facilitate productivity by setting up meetings and removing impediments that may obstruct the pursuit of the team's sprint goals.
  • Evaluate product progress through each iteration and outline customer journey and mocking up product designs to mapping product dependencies and sharing work with stakeholders.
  • Understand and anticipate the client's needs to manage the development process more effectively.
  • Preserve flexibility and ability to rapidly respond to changes.
  • Promote teamwork and collaborative interactions.
  • Utilize key metric tracking such as velocity measurement and capacity planning.
  • Serve as liaisons between the product owner, development team, and management to ensure that all targets and requirements are met

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science related major is preferred although equivalent industry experience will be considered.
  • Strong technical background is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate high level ideas or needs down to a technical level.
  • Ability to view problems holistically as they related to the entire organization and communicate solutions to stakeholders and management.
  • Certifications preferred, including Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) or Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Minimum three-five years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner.
  • Experience with Azure Dev Ops preferred.
  • Experience with prototyping and user journey creation tools like Miro, InVision, Figma or similar.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to shift priorities frequently and understand all downstream impacts to changes.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience in consumer facing applications, mobile technologies and user experience design.
  • Excellent verbal/interpersonal communication skills are essential.
