Attorney (Intellectual Property Counsel) at Bio-Rad Laboratories in Hercules, California

Job Description:

Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc. is looking for an in-house corporate intellectual property counsel to support its global organization. This Intellectual Property Attorney must have strong communication and negotiation skills and work well with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Developing and managing company intellectual property and monetization strategies, including managing patent prosecution, IPRs, and Oppositions, trademark matters, copyrights.


• Analyzing third party patents, freedom-to-operate studies, trademark clearances.


• Drafting and negotiating intellectual property licensing and other IP-related agreements.


• IP litigation support and IP due diligence.


• IP training and counseling.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of Intellectual Property Law experience in a law firm or corporation is required.


• Previous in-house experience in a life science or clinical diagnostics company desired.


• A JD from an accredited Law School is required.


• Degree in a Life Science field is an added benefit.
