Summary

Ensure a stable and on time supply chain with optimal inventory levels. Plan, schedule, release, and expedite purchase orders. Maintain accurate material master data within SAP business system.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

The statements below are intended to describe the general nature and level of work in this position. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities. The position may require that employees perform other duties as assigned.

1. Plan dynamic safety stocks (days on hand) to optimize availability of material vs. inventory levels


2. Clarify plan for ramp-up and phase-out scenarios with suppliers


3. Schedule, and release sub-contracting and purchase orders for requirements. If necessary, escalate and expedite material deliveries


4. Preferable: Take over the responsibilityas SAP MRP Key-User (know-how, best practices, training/support)


5. Load and maintain accurate material masters in SAP, if necessary BOM


6. Support product changes (ECNs) and plan implementation dates for supplier relevant changes


7. Provide monthly open order reports and forecasts to key suppliers


8. Reconcile all inventory discrepancies (together with logistics)


9. Support production and shop floormeeting regarding all material issues, working closely with production staff


10. Lead or support improvement projects regarding MRP processes, IT systems, stock level optimization

Experience

Minimum of 2-7 years experience as a MRP Controller or in relevant fields. Must possess a good working knowledge of supply chain management. Reliable and conscientious quick learner, self-starter who can take responsibility for a project until implementation. An individual that can lead and train others in addressing issues and get cooperation from others in a firm, yet diplomatic manner. At least 2 years experience with SAP or similar material management system. Good communication skills (English verbal and written).

Education

4-year college degree or 5 yrs work experience in the area of material management. Certified in API/CPI or APICS a plus
