We are currently searching for a skilled professional to join a well-known client's team as a Continuous Improvement Engineer in Columbus, Nebraska. The Continuous Improvement Engineer role will develop and coordinate the plant production plans and demand requirements of master scheduled items for the assigned product groups. RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan/lead project update reviews and complete action items
Set goals, establish priorities, manage project resources, develop concepts/approaches, and make management decisions
Manage the change control process
Maintain a proper balance of necessary inventories in line with production requirements
Report out to both site and off-site teams on progress of projects
Ensure regulatory compliance of projects by collaborating with the applicable groups
Comply with all local, state, federal, and internal safety regulations, policies, and procedures including HCRA Hazardous Waste regulations
Apply sound quality assurance principles to comply with all local quality policies, procedures, and practices
Drive improvements in the supply planning process and execution
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3 years of broad experience in project management with a preference in manufacturing engineering or industrial engineering required
Experience with packaging operations preferred
Strong technical skills
Excellent written and verbal skills
Strong problem-solving, drive for results, tactical execution, and leadership skills
EDUCATION
Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field required
