The Assembler will report to the Production Supervisor in the Rockford facility. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for the set-up and run of assembly, testing and packaging operations while maintaining the highest levels of safety, quality and productivity.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

The ideal candidate will have a stand-up attendance record, the ability to set up jobs, equipment, and assemble parts per specification. The abilities listed below describe the general nature of the work that will be performed including other duties as assigned. Additionally, you must be able to:

*Read and interpret blueprints

*Test assemblies

*Pick and wash parts

*Package and/or carton finished product

*Perform preventative maintenance on equipment

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required:

*At least 6 months of assembly experience utilizing hand tools and blueprints

Plus:

*At least one year of working in hydraulic and electrical assembly in a manufacturing environment

*Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical demands will include the capability of lifting up to 40 pounds and normal manufacturing plant demands.
