Summary/Objective

The LCI Project Management Office is hiring a Project Coordinator to support major projects within our growing Aftermarket division. The selected candidate will be working closely with our project management leadership to support some of our highest-level initiatives. This includes merger and acquisition integration, business system transformations, and the launch of new products and services.

The ideal candidate is passionate about communications! They are well-spoken, well-written, and also have an eye for graphics and presentations. They can interface with people at any level of the business and can drive decision-making by distilling clear information.

Work will be fast-paced and will involve coordinating with technical teams, business teams, and senior leadership across the organization. The right candidate is someone who thrives at creating process and organization, but still appreciates the need for flexible and fast execution.

Essential Functions

  1. Project Reporting and Communication Facilitation

    1. Craft professional-quality communications for executives and leaders. This will include executive updates on strategic initiatives.

    2. Facilitate meetings, capture action items, update project plans, and chase down issues. Help remove friction from the decision-making and issue-resolution processes on our largest projects.

    3. Track and report project status in the best possible tool, either using formal enterprise tools (e.g. ServiceNow), or ad-hoc tools (Excel) to obtain the best outcome for the project and team members.


  1. Project Management Support:

    1. Support project planning. Help prepare charters and other planning documents as needed. Help gather and organize requirements. Build and update project plans.

    2. Coordinate with formal and informal project managers/coordinators on active projects. Help remove friction from the decision-making and issue-resolution processes on our largest projects.

    3. Hold stakeholders accountable and track down information from stakeholders across the enterprise, including senior leadership.


  1. Project Management & Enterprise Communication Vision

    1. Work directly with the Director of the Project Management to refine and improve processes for communication, collaboration, and project execution in the Aftermarket division.

    2. Support PMO leaders as they establish new positions and capabilities in our growing aftermarket teams.


Competencies

Candidate needs to be an excellent communicator, and produces professional-grade communications, both written and verbal. Candidate is comfortable with modern collaboration tools, and is able to support projects around the country using various digital platforms (e.g. Microsoft Teams).


  1. Candidate is passionate about all things LCI! This position will need to be able to facilitate work between all parts of the business. Does not need to be an expert in any one area, but needs to be comfortable in meetings with operations, finance, IT, supply chain, etc.

  2. Candidate is a self-starter, able to proactively identify gaps and make improvements. Comfortable designing and deploying new processes.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This position is lightly active and requires 10% standing and walking. The employee may have to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly talk and listen. This position requires typing and sitting in a chair for up to 8 hours a day.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Occasional travel will be required up to 10%

Preferred Education and Experience


  1. 3+ years of business experience, with some exposure to projects or project personnel. Some experience with large-scale corporate projects is desirable.

  2. Experienced communicator with an emphasis on written and graphical communications. Advanced use of PowerPoint or other presentation tools is preferred.

  3. Experience leading and facilitating meetings and working sessions, especially remotely.

  4. Familiarity with projects that span multiple disciplines (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Technology, Operations).

  5. Experience using modern productivity and collaboration software, and ability to learn new applications and processes quickly.


  • Examples of relevant project management applications include Microsoft Project or Project Server, Atlassian Jira, Workfront, ServiceNow, Trello.

  • Other relevant applications/tools include Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio, and collaboration platforms like Slack or Microsoft Teams.

  • Bachelor's degree beneficial, but not required. Advanced degrees (e.g. MBA) or industry certifications (e.g. PMP), are a bonus and will be considered, but are not required.
