Summary
The Business Analyst will be responsible for driving Vicinity’s sales and marketing reporting and analytics. The Business Analyst will work closely with sales, marketing, finance, IT and executive leadership to align sales analytics, reporting and tools with Vicinity’s growth goals. This is a full-time exempt position and reports to the Director of Sales Operations. This position is located at our corporate office in Boston, MA.
Responsibilities: Reporting and Analytics:
Track and analyze key sales metrics, including pipeline growth, pipeline health, sales activities and quota attainment.
Work with marketing to develop tracking and analytics for marketing campaigns to drive customer engagement and growth.
Collect, consolidate and generate weekly, monthly, quarterly or as needed sales forecast and roll up numbers to sales management.
Analyze sales data to develop insights, identifying trends and opportunities within different geographies, industries, service lines, or other market segments.
Support target-setting and quota allocation processes
Provide sales forecast to support planning, budgeting, and performance.
Monitor the accuracy of sales reports and growth plan. Recommend revisions to existing reports and support development of new reports or tools as needed.
Improve reporting efficiency and accuracy through automation and optimization of data sources and dashboards.
Collaborate with sales, finance, IT and operations teams to support sales reporting and compensation tracking.
Responsible for sales commission administration, analytics, and sales process.
Database Support:
Support IT in making critical updates to CRM tool as sales process evolves or data requirements change.
Drive compliance with sales process and CRM data entry within the sales team to ensure accurate reporting and analytics.
Implements and manages reports and dashboards in CRM, ensuring sales reps and executives have access to key data.
Review, follow and modify as needed CRM standard operating procedures and guidelines to ensure high quality of sales data.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, economics, accounting, marketing, or related field
Minimum of 2 years of financial and business analysis experience
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities
Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize CRM tools to track and report on sales organization performance, experience with Microsoft Dynamics of Salesforce a plus
Command of Microsoft Office 365, including advanced proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel and Power BI. Experience with SQL a plus.
