The Business

This position sits in the Client Relations & Business Development (CR&BD) portion of the Retirement Business.  CR&BD is the hub for Plan Sponsor and client relationships.  It is our responsibility to build deep, trustworthy relationships with our clients to help drive the business forward, and to assist our clients in establishing strong Financial Wellness outcomes for their participants. 

The Team

The team consists of two subsets of associates.  Client Service Managers, who support our larger clients (generally $75m in Aum and above) and the Account Managers.

The Role

This Account Manager position is a client service role that focuses primarily on client relationships with $10M in AUM and under. This individual will work in a high volume, national team structure and have complete oversight of the plan’s daily administration and serve as a liaison between their clients/advisors and internal partners. 

Key responsibilities of the Account Manager Role are to:


  • Respond to client requests via phone and email

  • Negotiate services, fees, and pricing with support from business partners

  • Facilitate client meetings in a virtual environment

  • Persuade clients/advisors to modernize their administration

  • Influence clients and advisors to utilize Prudential's Website tools and resources to self-serve

A successful Account Manager who can demonstrate results in this role will have the opportunity for career advancement within the Client Relations and Business Development organization

Your Expertise

What you’ll need to succeed:


  • Minimum of 1-3 years financial services experience required, with at least one year of customer facing experience

  • A college degree (Associates or Bachelors) or equivalent work experience

  • Ability to communicate in a virtual and in-person environment

  • Experience with crucial conversations with successful outcomes

  • Work effectively in a fast paced, high volume environment 

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Creative problem-solving ability

  • FINRA Series 6, 63 and home State Life Insurance License within 120 days of employment (employment is conditional upon securing these licenses)

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

           

It’d be a plus if you have:

  • Retirement industry experience considered a strong plus
