Your Responsibilities

As a Sales Training Development Specialistfor Precision Ag Technologies located in either Des Moines, IA, Olathe, KS or Orlando FL.

You will....

• Develop strong training content for Precision Ag Technologies to enable dealers to better support customers and improve bottom line performance
• Identify key gaps in the learning curriculum, develop a plan to fill those gaps, and work to develop content to satisfy those needs
• Work with both Digital and Embedded Technologies to deliver dealer facing solutions to help dealers better support their customers, sell more product, and be comfortable with Automation 4.0
• Determine and develop the appropriate method and media of the training using sound instructional design and adult learning principles.
• Modifies content, delivery, or environment based upon evaluation findings
• Maintains or facilitates the maintenance of electronic repository of learning objects and data files
• Will present information and execute training delivery throughout portions of the year

What Skills You Need (Required skills/experiences)

• Knowledge of various communication skills such as design, editing, photography, audio visual, web, journalism, marketing and advertising.
• Ability to use various department specific computer programs.
• Business process knowledge of assigned area(s) and/or function(s).
• Knowledge of products and services offered by the appropriate area of responsibility.

You will also need...

• Understanding of activities, their sequence and measurement, and the ability to facilitate implementation of process and participate in process
• Willingness to travel. - Up to 50%
• Project management knowledge with the ability to handle multiple projects and/or tasks
• Interpersonal communications, negotiation, and the ability to come toresolutions.

What Makes You Stand Out (Desired skills/experiences)

• Experience within a John Deere (or similar company) functional area
• Ag Dealer experience, preferably in the Precision Ag Technologies area
• Experience in training and development area involved in activities such as instruction, needs assessments, curriculum development, and other such related work
• Technical training experience relating to design/diagnostics of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system
• Strong communication skills with significant presentation experience
• Product Line Marketing experience
• Experience working with or applying Precision Ag Technologies

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Degree in an Education discipline or equivalent experience
