YOUR ROLE

• Conduct research and development on functional coatings, with an emphasis on conductive coatings
• Conceive innovative routes to formulate organic coatings
• Implement pigment dispersion techniques to optimize coating performance
• Translate laboratory discoveries into production scale-up and customer validation
• Write and present technical reports to customers and trade associations
• Serve as a technical resource for colleagues, sales, marketing and operations

YOUR SKILLS

• Ph.D. or M.S. degree in chemistry
• Minimum of 3 years of industrial experience in the polymer and coatings field
• Fundamental and practical experience in research and development of coatings
• Understanding of how to impart electrical conductivity to organic coatings
• Proficient with electrochemical instrumentation with a focus on impedance and charge/discharge cycling
• Ability to generate new testing methods and procedures
• Familiarity with pigment milling and dispersion equipment both on lab and manufacturing scale
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Goal-oriented, new technology/product developer with a track record of commercial success
