Chargeback Agreement Specialist at Applied Industrial Technologies in Cleveland, Ohio

Job Description:

This position is responsible for processing claims, settling financial accounts, issuing debits and credit as applicable within our SAP ERP (Vistex) systems in support of the overall business plan and the strategic direction of the company.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Prepare, process and record chargebacks claim returns.


• Respond to questions regarding chargeback submissions; research and analyze.


• Submit manual chargeback claim submissions via supplier portals.


• Investigate and respond to supplier, field and corporate inquiries regarding chargeback claims.


• Assist in reconciling chargeback amounts, as needed.


• Work with suppliers to ensure adherence to best practice claim processes.


• Investigate and respond to supplier and field inquiries regarding chargeback claims.


• Assist in the preparation and processing of debits and credits related to chargebacks as well as other rebate programs.


• Record metrics to measure supplier response, acceptance and resolution of chargeback submission.


• Ensure adherence of chargeback processing to financial accounting rules, including SOX auditing.


• Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

Education/ Work Experience:

• HS Diploma or Equivalent is Required;Four-year degree from an accredited college/university preferred


• Requires an equivalent of a minimum of three (3) years of experience, and in an analytical or financial role, who will be able to who will be able to work independently and in a team environment.


• The selected analyst must have the ability to pay attention to details, handle multiple projects/processes, the ability to meet deadlines and excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills as well as proven organizational skills are required.


• Systems proficiency in ERP, Excel and other computer related systems.
