Representative Human Resources, Recruiting Specialist - Talent Acquisition



Cleveland-Cliffs is the largest flat-rolled steel company and the largest iron ore pellet producer in North America. The company is vertically integrated from mining through iron making, steelmaking, rolling, finishing and downstream with hot and cold stamping of steel parts and components.

As a recruiting resource, you will work with both university students and experienced applicants as they decide to build their career with Cleveland-Cliffs.



Responsibilities


  • Assist plant and staff areas with human resource needs related to employment hiring.

  • Execute all stages of the recruitment process (including job posting, phone interviewing, job interview scheduling and regular communication with candidates and managers)

  • Monitor and suggest improvements to the recruitment process.

  • Evaluate different recruitment channels and sources and their performance for positions.

  • Identify difficult job vacancies and investigates the best recruitment approach.

  • Report the progress on assigned job vacancies on the regular basis, communicates early warnings and provide the regular feedback about the performance of the recruitment process.

  • Support the college recruiting programs of Cleveland-Cliffs Steel to achieve recruiting targets for Associates and Interns, as established during the annual workforce planning process.

  • Represent Cleveland-Cliffs Steel as a member in college relations organizations at the regional and national level.

  • Assist in the tracking of the annual department budget and contribute to the annual objectives and performance metrics.

  • Coordinate campus interview dates, information sessions and career fair dates.

  • Support the college recruiting teams to execute campus engagement events and activities.

  • Maintain master recruiting schedules, recruiting related websites, recruiting related print materials and applicant tracking and ensure the integrity of related data for reporting purposes.

  • Coordinate second-round interviews, applicant correspondence through the job offers as well as pre-employment background investigations and drug testing in accordance with policies and procedures.

  • Assist in the training and development of campus recruiters, ambassadors, and second-round interviewers.

  • Assist in the development of department policy and procedure and be accountable for other projects, as assigned.




Minimum Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business-related field

  • 2-3 years of experience as a recruiting specialist/talent acquisition professional

  • Proficient using the tools in the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Ability to compile and analyze business data for purpose of formulating various human resource strategies.

  • Recruiting experience utilizing various sourcing tools (LinkedIn, Glassdoor) and a standardized application tracking system to communicate, source, track and hire qualified candidates.

  • Ability to manage multiple and diverse projects.

  • Ability to work under pressure and able to adjust to changing work demands.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • A self-starter who displays motivation, innovation, and enthusiasm




Preferred Requirements


  • Five or more years of work experience as a recruiter.

  • Two or more years of college recruiting experience including student engagement, event scheduling, and applicant sourcing,hiring, and onboarding.

  • SHRM-CP/PHR Certification
