VP Product Management at Blue Yonder in Coppell, Texas

Overview

Blue Yonder is currently seeking a VP, Product Management to lead our growing Product Management team of Blue Yonder Supply Planning solutions that serve our Retail base globally.

This role will report to the GVP of Product Management and will be located at our office in Dallas, TX.

What you'll do:

• Responsible for product strategy and roadmap for key industry segments or programs within the supply chain planning portfolio




• Provides thought leadership on solutions to business problems and acts as a subject matter expert for prospect and customer discussions




• Responsible for overall product portfolio for a specific Industry segment




• Cares for and develops key customer and industry relationships by conducting customer and prospect needs research and maintaining key industry contacts.




• Collaborates with product teams to translate strategic direction into clear product objectives and roadmaps. Communicates product strategies and direction in a compelling manner.




• Ensures team roles, responsibilities and structure are effective.




• Evaluates client suitability for beta and client-funded partnerships.




• Manages and improves key customer and industry interaction.




• Manages and improves PMG processes by championing process improvement initiatives within or across applicable business units and within Product Management.




• Provides a clear vision and compelling leadership to all product stakeholders on product strategies and solutions to business problems.




• Provides strategic product/solution leadership by collaborating with Industry team to set product strategic direction and communicating this direction to all stakeholders.




• Researches, evaluates and recommends product packaging/bundling/pricing alternatives and third-party partnerships to Executive team.




• Seeks and follows through on opportunities to improve inter-team relationships and understanding.




• Identifies processes and procedures that can positively enhance organizational effectiveness and cost savings.




• Ensures that product strategy drives revenue growth, competitive differentiation and customer value. Coordinates across product lines to ensure alignment of individual roadmaps to strategic and corporate objectives.




• Ensures that individual product decisions are aligned with the overall product goals and strategies. Leads new product introduction and strategic launch initiatives including field enablement.




• Leads and oversees solution definition and design.

What we are looking for:

• Proven knowledge of supply chain planning in Retail industry.




• Minimum of 12+ years of relevant experience in Product Management, Engineering, Sales or Consulting for an Enterprise Software company.




• Strong interpersonal, team and client relationship skills




• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills




• Understanding of key technologies supporting and related to transportation management




• Experience working with a globally distributed team




• Excellent verbal and written (English language) communication skills




• Ability to organize and prioritize work, establish realistic goals and deadlines and manage changing priorities




• Bachelor's degree in business related field of study preferred




• Ability to travel (25 - 30%) required
