This positionisresponsible forthedevelopment,integrationandadministration of discovery and configuration management systemsat OpenText. These tools are mission critical to support the management of the large IT footprint used to provide world class customer experiences. The team supports industry leading tools includingOCS Inventory NG,GLPI,Metabase, ServiceNow (ITOM/ITSM/SIR/IRM),HP uCMDB and UD technologies.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Support on-going asset discovery, integration,development,and administration of the OCS Inventory NG environment (e.g.,MySQLDB,GLPI integration,OCSServerAdministration, Agent Discovery/Integration andMetabaseReporting)




• Workwith CMDB adminsto integrate,reconcileand map discovered CIs/Assets in theuCMDB

• Support ServiceNow ITOM/ITSM/SIR/IRM/GRC modules, workflows,and integrations




• Automate repetitive tasks, prevent recurring issues,and increase the usefulness and accuracy of inventoried data




• Interact with Business representatives to ensure their requirements are being metwithin the framework of the tools available




• Develop solutions to meet thebusinessrequirementswhile meetingtime and cost constraints




• Adhereto IT Change Managementand other ITIL best practices.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• A Bachelor's degree, College diploma or equivalent experience




• Strong experience with LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)




• Extensiveserver andnetwork administration/automation experience and advanced working knowledge of common virtualization, networking technologies and protocols (e.g., VMWare, SOAP, SNMP, DNS, TCP/IP, etc.)




• Advanced programming, SQL and shell scripting skills (Bash, PERL(preferred), Python, PHP, PowerShell, SSH/WMI, JavaScript, etc.)

• Development/Admin experience with ServiceNow ITOM/ITSM/SIR/IRM/GRC modules, workflows,and integrations.




• OCS Inventory NG development and admin experience (preferred) and familiarity with the plugins/packages which commonlyintegrate withOCS Inventory NG(e.g., GLPI,Metabase, etc.)




• Ability to effectively partner with business users to refine requirements and discuss functional/technical designs




• An aptitude to learn new technology quickly




• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team




• The ability to handle multiple streams of work effectively
