Job Description Summary

The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and management for the facilities organization at a specific location, set of buildings, or campus environment. The Facilities Project Manager is charged with the day to-day implementation of policies, procedures, programs and workplace services delivery that provides a well-managed and well-maintained building. An emphasis of this role is placed on a positive response to the concerns and needs of the tenants, environmental health and safety, and quality programs, in coordination with the client's goals and objectives. This position coordinates the activities, financials, vendors and manpower required for current and future needs of the building projects and operations.

The Facilities Project Manager role will support the client in all aspects of communications as it relates to the coordination and management of various construction initiatives. The role will assist with internal stakeholder communications and coordination with external project management.

Job Summary:


  • Value-engineer space design with developers, architects, build-design teams and other construction related experts for cost-effective builds

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to incorporate their requirements in the space requirement

  • Manage the scheduling of all aspects of the project to ensure workflow efficiency

  • Oversee construction site activities providing direction on an ongoing basis

  • Ensure all permit requirements are obtained both during and post construction including, but not limited to, Building, Planning, Safety, Fire, OSHA, Environmental (EPA)

  • Engage proper authorities to mitigate potential workflow disruptions

  • Manage projects with established scope, schedule and budget to deliver on-time/budget

  • Assist the client in the facilitation and leadership of project meetings and manage change and conflict

  • Craft & distribute project updates to key stakeholders

  • Work with outside consultant and Human Resources on change management

Experience Requirements:


  • 7 years in corporate real-estate; commercial being preferred

  • Generally requires prior experience with large commercial projects, setting up data centers, and corporate interiors. Familiarity with all parties involved in this process for accomplishing projects on-time and within budget, including, architects, outside project managers, general contractors, engineers and construction trades.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business or related field preferred, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience. Certification in Project Management desired. Proven construction aptitude.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. May be required to travel outside between properties in varying weather conditions.
