Job Summary


NetApp have made a 'big bet' on providing data management solutions through public cloud providers. Our growing Public Services team is looking to bring in a talented technical leader who is motivated to make a difference to our company's success with AWS.

This next hire will be based in the United States. As the Director for the Cloud Solution Architects (CSA) - you will be part of the NetApp Public Services Sales team. This will be a worldwide leadership role and you will be responsible for directing all aspects of the CSA organization for AWS including pre-sales and partner alignment activities. Much of the engagement will be done hand-in-hand with the AWS teams, where we are providing the technical expertise on cloud services offered by NetApp. You will help us develop our technical strategy and go-to-market as we grow our business rapidly. Your team will be responsible for pre-sales activities, working to identify candidate workloads, architect appropriate solutions, design and run proof-of-concepts and onboard customers into active consumption. The focus geography for the role will be Global. You should be results driven, customer focused, technologically savvy, and skilled at building internal relationships and external partnerships.


Job Requirements

    * Hands On front-line lead who recruits, hires, develops, coaches, and manages a high performing technical team as domain experts

    * You will be experienced in building and leading a dispersed team with both direct and indirect reports and extended team resources

    * Strong verbal and written communications skills, including presentation skills.

    * Must have an aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions solve business problems.

    * Proven track record of working with product management to provide feedback on product positioning and development requirements

    * The scope of responsibility for this person includes implementing strategic policies and establishing and adhering to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.

    * Ability to act as a technical advisor or subject matter expert on public cloud technologies a plus

    * This individual must effectively work with, and influences senior managers through executive level employees, functional peers and/or major customers.

    * Acts in a leadership role within the function and across functions.

    * Is willing to travel - this is an international manager role and will require substantial travel within the region and, occasionally, internationally




Education


* A minimum of 12+ years with at least 5 years of managing teams with individual managers reporting to you.

* A Bachelor of Arts of Sciences Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science; or related field is required; a Graduate Degree is preferred.

* Experience which demonstrates a significant level of expertise in technical specifications required to sell NetApp products and services is required.

* Specialized knowledge of public cloud technologies and architectures (AWS a plus)
