The Product Release Manageris responsible for the end-to-end process of release management, including leading and directing the internal teams for a seamless and positive Avantas and client experience with major releases. This role will work closely with Innovation for the go-to-market planning activities, learn the feature in scope, and translate to describe the impacts on existing features and client use and develop recommendations for optimal use and adoption. This role will be expected to transfer this knowledge to all internal stakeholders via a structured communication plan, project plan, release guide and training material. Additionally, the Product Release Manager will guide internal teams on how to roll features out to existing and onboarding clients, and may be leveraged for external collaboration with clients. This role must be knowledgeable and communicate verbally and in writing how releases and features tie into all Avantas best practice recommendations and strategies.
Core Responsibilities:
Leads the development of internal and external release materials, including recommended implementation, configuration and use cases for optimal adoption.
Maintains a release repository and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists.
Maintains a list of existing materials to be updated post release and ensures all are updated by appropriate teams, including System Admin Guide, User Guide, Implementation Business Rules, etc.
Job Tasks:
Works closely with Innovation/Quality Assurance on a release plan aligning with go-to-market plans.
Develop and lead internal and external release plans.
Coordinate with Account Management and Support, as needed, for additional client specific support needed for larger releases.
Participate in Innovation Release/Development meetings to consult on release scope and/or roadblocks.
Work closely with internal teams to understand existing and upcoming client initiatives that may impact, or be impacted, by upcoming releases.
Lead the collaboration between Account Management, Support, Education and Implementation teams to develop, monitor and actively work to improve the adoption rate of new releases by clients.
Host internal and external post release feedback meetings and or surveys, analyze all feedback and develop action plans for improvement.
Minimum Education/Certifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Experience:
Minimum of five years' experience in release management and/or project management required
Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle
Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills
Advanced written and verbal communication skills
Ability to understand and train on complex strategies and software features
