RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Salt Lake City, UT. The Core networks team is responsible for architecture, design and engineering of WAN, MAN, B2B, DMZ, LLZ, Data Centers and backbone network systems, that drive all the Firm's global businesses. Design and deploy core networks with new secured technologies in Segment-Routing, EVPN, MPLS, MPLS-VPN, VPLS, QOS on internal global back bone network comprising of high-end multivendor network products with required scalability and resiliency. Design and deploy sensitive and critical trading environments such as High Frequency Trading (HFT) zones, Low Latency Zones (LLZ), Demilitarized zone (DMZ's) with secure resource pools (SRP), Business to Business (B2B) networks, Exchange connections, Multicast setups with various security platform network gears such as Routers, switches, firewalls, proxies, VPNs etc. Troubleshoot and provide solutions in case of any failure. Design and deploy High Availability (HA) environments with zero down time on critical application such as Trading servers, DNS, DHCP, Dynamic Computer servers, storage comprising Load Balancers, Fast Fail-over, and Portable IP address (PIP) technologies. Design and deploy secure control zones between Head Office and remote Office Network connections with secure protocols such as IPSEC VPNS/GRE/DMVPNS/Wi-Fi. Develop new solutions for internal clients. Work with internal clients to understand their requirements. Translate client requirements into technology solutions. Communicate the important technical and commercial attributes of solutions to clients in ways the client can understand. Take an active independent role in the product lifecycle; new technology introduction through to demise. Provide subject matter expertise when collaborating on cross platform projects with teams responsible for Voice, Video, Market Data, Compute, Storage, Information Security and Data Centre. Provide technical escalation for complex problems. Work with network product vendors and telecoms service providers on new products, technologies, test them in LAB, certify and provide Proof of Concept (POC) prior to introducing into the production environment. Work with software development team providing structure and outline guidance on Network automations. Write up Design documents, Diagrams, implementation/troubleshooting run books with details on products, technologies, connectivity information's and flow information's. Provide necessary training to junior members and new joiners on products, platforms, technologies, environments and build up strong technical team.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems or a closely related field. Minimum five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include five (5) years with: Utilizing communication protocols including TCP-IP and routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS and RIP; working on Segment-Routing, EVPN, MPLS, MPLS-VPN, VPLS, L2TP, QOS, and Ethernet; utilizing L2 Switching technologies and high availability technologies including HSRP, VRRP, GLBP, VTP, STP, Private Vlans, Vlan Tunneling, Q in Q, VPC, VDC, and load balancers; working on Multicast protocols including IGMP, PIM, MOSPF and MBGP; working on Network security protocols including GRE, IPSEC, VPN, DMVPN and SSL; working on security products with firewalls and Proxy including Juniper SRX, Checkpoint, Palo Alto and blue coat proxy; working on Network security appliance including IPS and IDS; utilizing higher end multi-vendor network products with Cisco ASR, NCS, Nexus, Juniper Mx, SRX, Checkpoint and Palo Alto; working with Network Monitoring devices using Matrix Switches, Endace, Source fire, and Arbor tools; working on Wireless Networking Technologies including Aruba Wi-Fi Controllers and RAPs; and designing document writing, drawing network topology diagrams with Visio and other software.
