Summary



  • Maine Behavioral Healthcareis looking for passionate and dedicatedResidential Care Workersto provide personal care, supervision, and skills teaching to clients/residents as outlined on the individual treatment plans.

    As aResidential Care Worker, your responsibilities will include:




  • Assisting clients with daily living skills




  • Skills teaching




  • Medication administration




  • Transportation




  • Providing daily support to clients in reaching personal and treatment goals




  • Access to day programs and job training




  • Assistance with symptom management




  • Rehabilitation counseling




  • Referral for substance abuse treatment services






    • Maine Behavioral Healthcareoperates six group homes, two supported living programs, and one supported apartment programs. These group homes are licensed by the Maine State Department of Health and Human Services. Each home accommodates 3 to 10 adults with support available on site 24 hours a day. The programs are transitional in nature and designed to help residents recover, improve their health and well-being, and develop skills for more independent living. Residents share in household responsibilities like meal planning and preparation, and participate in planned social activities.

  • Position Summary



    • The Residential Care Worker is responsible for providing personal care, supervision, and skills teaching to clients/residents as outlined on the individual treatment plans.




  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)



    • Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred. Salaries are based on years of experience and education.


    • License/Certifications: Active Certified Residential Medication Aide and Personal Support Specialist certification however MBH willpay for trainings as needed. Certification of Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician 1 (MHRT 1) must be obtained within one year of employment.Valid driver's license preferred.


    • Experience: Prior experience working in a residential setting preferred.


    • Must obtain appropriate level of automobile insurance within the first 30 days of employment when applicable


    • Maintain required trainings to uphold MHRT-1 status


    • Must have basic computer skills
