Lam's Manufacturing Manager directs the development and implementation of activities in the Production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives within a cross-matrixed and global organization.
Job Duties
Manage production teams and direct reports that operate on a 24/7 schedule, maintaining standards and meeting goals across all shifts
Prioritize 24/7 production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply
Focused strategic thinking to increase productivity through support and leadership of Key Performance Indicators relative to safety, quality, cost, delivery, and engagement
Focused strategic thinking to increase productivity through support and leadership of people, process and technology while building for the future of manufacturing
Drive actionable execution through direct reports to daily production needs
Delegate work as necessary to remain strategic at all times
Manage, coach and mentor team members; select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operations of the function and to create a high performing team
Plan or administer budgetary recommendations, control group level expenditures, and direct/indirect labor staffing levels as needed
Exemplify Lam Core Values and demonstrate Manager competencies at all times
Adhere to and hold others accountable to safety regulations
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 2+ years Manufacturing or Operations management experience; will consider 4+ years' experience managing direct reports in a manufacturing environment in lieu of a degree
Experience with Lean manufacturing and Kanban
Ability to manage complex processes and projects, work under tight time constraints and effectively work in a cross-functional environment
Must be capable of working within a controlled clean room environment and adhering to all specified gown and personal protective equipment requirements
Must be willing and able to work full-time at Lam's HVM site in Tualatin, OR
Additional skills and abilities required for success in this role include having a problem solving and learning mindset, strong decision maker; strong verbal and written communication and collaboration skills; familiarity with forecasting and acquisition of capital equipment; basic understanding of design principles and processes; knowledge of basic manufacturing methodologies and assembly processes.
