Job Title: Mail Clerk

Job Summary:

Provide mail services for the established mail routes, and special deliveries/courier duties as necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Sort, deliver, pickup and process all US and interoffice mail as required for each location.


• Look up and redirect misaddressed mail.


• Special delivery runs


• Reporting sample pickup/delivery as scheduled


• Operate mailroom equipment when necessary in a safe manner (postage machine)


• Understand, update, and record changing mail stops and mail routes


• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required


• Prefer one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


• Valid State Driver's License required


• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.


• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.


• Ability to use Microsoft Products on computer.
